“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.”

MY MASTERPIECE

Dear daughter, come out of hiding! for you are Dark and comely. Your hand crafted sun-kissed skin bears no sin. Freshly dipped with intention, I’ve made no mention of mistaken identity. Whether black as a kettle, or a deep brown Hershey’s kiss, you are a radiant reflection of Thee. For I, your God, created the light and the darkness — and neither is more kin to me.

“Whether black as a kettle, or a deep brown Hershey’s kiss, you are a radiant reflection of Thee.”

Dear daughter of Ham, pick up your garment! Betrayal and rejection shall no longer be projected onto your perfected complexion. For the sight of your hue is not a result of shameful drunkenness. I will replenish what the locust ate, and shine My light on your brethren’s willful unconsciousness.

Dear brethren… Release yourself from the plantation! I have called ALL to join Me at the table! She owns no cotton-gin, so rise from the divisive lies, myths, and fables. Remove those haughty eyes, for her body no longer toils in the field. She builds her confidence in my unapologetic workmanship. Pigmentation uncompromised. Knitted together flawlessly. Look onto her fairly, my fair daughter, for her melanin carries the beauty of…Me.
